Retirement has always felt to me like 'quitting,' which I'm not at all ready to do. I'm finishing up my Interim Pastor position at Community Christian Fellowship, moving back into chaplaincy, and re-starting my adjunct work at John Brown University.
I'm discovering more about who I am, which reveals more about what I should do. My work is becoming a reflection of who I am in Christ rather than a duty to perform. I like that.
Discipline has become more of a rhythm, and job has become more of a vocation; who I am is released into what I do. I'm looking forward to the next 15 years as I shed more of the unnecessary stuff and adhere to the meaningful stuff.
